On Thursday, the Detroit Tigers continued their ‘Summer Camp’ with another intrasquad game and their top pitching prospect Casey Mize took the mound and fared extremely well.
Mize faced seven batters during the intrasquad game and all seven walked back to the dugout without reaching base, with three of those hitters striking out.
Perhaps the most impressive part of Mize’s outing was when he had the opportunity to square off against future Hall of Famer, Miguel Cabrera.
As you can see in the video below (apologies for the video quality but you can blame COVID-19) Mize was able to strike Miggy out on 3 pitches.
