Michigan State Spartans redshirt freshman offensive lineman Devontae Dobbs has made the decision to enter the transfer portal, and was joined by cornerback Davion Williams and linebacker Jeslord Boateng.
Michigan State’s season is now likely over with this week’s cancellation of their matchup with Maryland.
Michigan State spokesman confirms Devontae Dobbs entered the transfer portal. That means the three highest-rated signees from the 2019 class (Dobbs, Julian Barnett and Luke Fulton) are all in the portal.

A four-star recruit out of Belleville High School, Dobbs was ranked the No. 51 overall prospect and No. 1 offensive guard in the 2019 recruitment class according to 247Sports. He was also the highest recruit for the Spartans in 2019.
He appeared in four games and started one in 2019, taking 57 snaps as a true freshman, but didn’t play this season under new head coach Mel Tucker.
Tucker now has six student athletes enter the transfer portal this year, including Dobbs, Julian Barnett, Luke Fulton, Marcel Lewis, Charles Willekes, and running back Anthony Williams Jr.
