During his time at Michigan State, Draymond Green went from a pudgy freshman to one of the greatest basketball players ever to play in East Lansing. That can be credited not only to Green's work ethic and drive to get better but also to his head coach at MSU, Tom Izzo.
For those who follow Michigan State hoops, you know very well that Izzo does not put up with any shenanigans from his players. In fact, Izzo is known as one of the most demanding coaches in the NCAA when it comes to handling his players, both on and off the court.
Since Green was drafted by the Golden State Warriors in the 2nd Round of the 2012 NBA Draft, Green's reputation has gone from one of the hardest working players in the league (he still is) to one of the dirtiest and most outspoken players. In fact, some would say the former Spartan has seemingly been in the news more often for the wrong reasons than the right.
One person who has taken notice of Green's transformation, and seems to be sick of his act, is none other than college basketball guru Dick Vitale.
On Tuesday, Vitale took to Twitter to share his thoughts on Green, including going at far as to say, it's “hard to believe he is a Spartan.”
Here are Vitale's tweets from Tuesday regarding Green and what he has become.
I don't know about u @Money23Green makes it tough to cheer 4 @Warriors & I love him as a PTPer / attitude has changed since @MSU_Basketball

Agree 100%. Attitude now a far cry from when he was a Spartan. No doubt Tom Izzo would not tolerate some of his childish behavior !

I honestly don't believe that @Money23Green we see now could play/or would play for Izzo. Hard to believe he is a Spartan needs to grow up

What do you think, Nation? Is Dick Vitale right about Draymond Green? Do you agree that Green needs to “grow up?”
