During the first half of Friday’s College Football Playoff semifinal between Ohio State and Clemson, Buckeyes quarterback Justin Fields took a huge hit to the ribs that made Twitter explode with people saying he would not return to the game.
But Fields did return and in the first half and he completed 16-of-18 passes for a whopping 223 yards and 4 touchdowns as the Buckeyes lead the Tigers 35-14 at halftime.
Before heading into the locker room, Ohio State head coach Ryan Day spoke to the media and when he was asked about Fields playing through pain, he may have just predicted the future of the Detroit Lions.
“He has the heart of a Lion,” Day said when talking about his quarterback.

The Lions currently hold the No. 7 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft but they could move up (or down) depending on what happens on Sunday.
Nation, if Justin Fields is available when the Lions are on the clock, should they take him or take a hard pass?
Hard pass. If you need a reason look back at past ohio st. quarterbacks. All trash in the nfl.
Don’t want Justin Fields going to the losing Detroit Lions.
I dont get it why is everyone thinking the lions need to get a new qb the problem with the lions is in my mind is they dont keep the good players they trade them away and dont get someone as good for that spot and the team gets worse not better they need to keep all the talent they have and add to it to get better not move the talent they have and get worse
