The clip, shared by NFL on CBS, doesn’t show what led up to the moment, but it’s clear something was said or done that set Metcalf off. Still, any physical interaction between a player and a fan is going to raise eyebrows — and potentially lead to league review.
As of now, there’s been no official statement from the Steelers or the NFL regarding possible discipline. It’s also unclear whether the fan instigated the situation verbally or physically before the moment caught on camera.
