During the fourth quarter of the Detroit Lions’ loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, quarterback Matthew Stafford took a huge hit causing obvious pain. Following the play, it was obvious that Stafford was in a great deal of pain, but he stayed in the game for one more play. Unfortunately, that was the final play Stafford would play as he was forced to sit out the remainder of the contest with an injured rib.
Following the conclusion of the game, Stafford had X-rays performed, and though we still do not know an official diagnosis, Dr. David J. Chao (also known as the Pro Football Doc) has weighed in saying Stafford’s rib injury is likely a cartilage issue. Chao speculated that though it is unlikely that Stafford practices at all this week, he should play in the Lions Week 15 matchup vs. the Tennessee Titans. (Editor’s note: We now know that Stafford’s X-rays came back negative)
Nation, do you think Stafford plays in Week 15?
