As one of the most popular and well known NHL franchises, it isn't any surprise that the Detroit Red Wings have fans from every corner of the globe. And naturally, some of those fans are going to be celebrities.
Let's take a look at some of the well known figures in entertainment who are also known for their love of the Winged Wheel!
No. 6: Actor Jeff Daniels
Jeff Daniels is known for his on-screen work in films such as 101 Dalmations, Dumb and Dumber, Good Night and Good Luck, the political drama The Newsroom, and for serving as the founder and current executive director of the Chelsea, MI based Purple Rose Theater Company.
His sports fandom, however, is just as equally well known. A huge fan of the Detroit Red Wings dating all the way back to the Dead Wings era, he celebrated in the Red Wings locker room following the 1997 Stanley Cup win and skates with the alumni team. He also appeared in the award winning 2018 documentary “The Russian Five”.
