Things started off perfectly for Dylan Larkin and the Detroit Red Wings as they played the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday night.
Larkin, himself, got things started by scoring a goal just 30 seconds into the game to give the Red Wings a 1-0 lead. Unfortunately, the fun ended there for the team wearing red and white.

When all was said and done, the Canucks dominated on the power play and waxed the Wings 5-1.
Following the game, Larkin talked to the media and was clearly not happy about the lack of effort he and his teammates showed on the road.

“It wasn’t enough for our team to come in and start a road trip and not have compete level anywhere near to where theirs was, to what it should be in an NHL game,” Dylan Larkin said after the stinker at Rogers Arena. “It was unacceptable. Frustrating, I think — if we play like that every night, it’s going to be the same result. We’re not good enough to come out and just throw our sticks out there and play hockey. We need to battle, we need to block shots, and the PK needs to be good. We need to win battles in front of our net. We didn’t do any of that and it’s frustrating.”
The Red Wings will have a chance to get back on track when they travel to Calgary to take on the Flames this coming Thursday night.
