Friedman went on to add: “Even though the team and the agent aren’t very happy with each other right now, they need each other to get it done, and from what I heard, it’s not that far away. This is within striking distance.”

I think that Ottawa had to commit before DRW made the first draft pick. How can a GM make good decisions without knowing that the trade is in place? Ottawa, as per usual, put WAY too many blocks in the road for it to happen. Now for it to happen – Ottawa takes MUCH less – at least from SY. My offer – two seconds over the next two years and a prospect like Emil Viro. If no – take our chances on getting him as a UFA next year.
