According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Toronto Maple Leafs could possibly target Detroit Red Wings F Tyler Bertuzzi.
In order for the Maple Leafs to get Bertuzzi, you can expect that Red Wings GM Steve Yzerman would look for a very solid return as he was an All-Star in 2020 and has a bright future in the league.

If the deal involves Mitch Marner yes, otherwise no. You might think I’m joking but people outside of Detroit have no idea how important Bertuzzi is out there. When he is in the lineup, he is the heart and soul of the team. It would make no sense for the Wings to trade him and if they did, it wouldn’t take long before they started saying “man, I wish we had a player like Tyler Bertuzzi”. I would guess that if they did a poll of Red Wings fans of who their favorite player was, the name that would come up the most would be Tyler Bertuzzi, yet all I ever read are trade scenarios involving him. I just don’t get it. If Toronto for example got him, they would be saying down the road “I can’t believe Detroit let this guy go”.
Not for Marner LOL , not even Nylander , if it was Nylander they best be a first coming with this deal also , then I’m still not sure
