Erin Andrews reveals she was diagnosed with cancer back in September

Fox NFL sideline reporter Erin Andrews revealed that she was diagnosed with cervical cancer. But that didn't stop her from work.

By Week 3 of this NFL season, she had already been diagnosed. By October 16, she was five days removed from surgery. Before the procedure, however, she told doctors that nothing was going to stand in the way of this year's big game.

“I’m not watching any football games at home,” she said. “This is [Fox’s] Super Bowl year, and I’m not missing the Super Bowl.”

A true testament of strength in the face of the dreaded disease? She was back at work 48 hours after the surgery.

“Should I have been standing for a full game five days after surgery? Let’s just say the doctor didn’t recommend that,” she said. “But just as I felt during my trial, sports were my escape. I needed to be with my crew.”

After another procedure in early November, doctors revealed that the operation had been successful, and that she was in the clear. She'll be on the sidelines in Houston covering Super Bowl 51 between New England and Atlanta. Talk about triumph!

She also recently announced her engagement to former NHL player Jarret Stoll.
