Former Detroit Lions CB Darius Slay spent his first seven seasons in the NFL playing on the opposite side of the ball as quarterback Matthew Stafford.
During those seven seasons, Slay had had nothing but love for Stafford, always going out of his way to let people know that No. 9 is “the truth.”
Slay has since moved on to the Philadelphia Eagles and Stafford will almost certainly move on too as he has requested to be traded and the Lions have reportedly agreed to make that happen.
Following the news that Stafford requested a trade from the Lions, Slay took to Twitter to preach the truth.
“Man I cannot wait to see were staff goes.. watch how quick he will be in the elite convo.. even though he already is,” Slay tweeted.
