Moeller, who was 81, coached at Michigan for five seasons. During those five seasons, the Wolverines went 44-13-3 while winning or sharing the Big Ten conference titles in 1990, 1991, and 1992.
He was also the head coach of the Detroit Lions in 2000 after Bobby Ross resigned during the season. The Lions were 4-3 as Moeller as their head coach.
Rest in Peace, Gary.
