So this is what fielder, who’s day-to-day nursing a neck injury, thinks of this weekend’s 4-game reunion against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park.

“I don’t give a (expletive) about the Detroit series,” the rangers and former Tigers first baseman told reporters today. “I just want to get back.”

Fielder was diagnosed with a herniated disc. He missed last Saturday’s game to snap a streak of 547 consecutive games played which, at the time, was the longest active streak in MLB, dating back to 2010 with the Milwaukee Brewers.
