While University of Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh is hearing plenty of criticism after his fifth consecutive loss to the Ohio State Buckeyes, one person that he’s not feeling the heat from is former Wolverines basketball star Chris Webber.
“To throw the baby out with the bathwater or to blow it up just because of that really doesn’t make sense,” Webber said of firing Harbaugh.
“Just keep going and figuring it out,” Webber continued. “He’s one of the best college football minds in the game…..it (losing to OSU) hurts but Harbaugh is a Michigan man and he played at the University, so I know it hurts him more than anyone, so I would just say to figure it out.”
Webber remained supportive of Harbaugh when asked of the opinions of die-hard fans who are saying
“It’s not okay, coach Harbaugh would be the first to say it’s not okay,” Webber said. “My thing though is that while we’re disappointed, we still have a great team and had a great season.”
