Fans bash NFL following Calvin Johnson comparison tweet

Say what you want about Calvin Johnson but there is no question about it that he is one of the best wide receivers ever to step on the football field. Though he played his entire career with the Detroit Lions, which certainly hurts his status when arguing who is the best wide receiver of all-time, Johnson was an absolute beast on the football field and he caused plenty of defensive coordinators to have sleepless nights.

In fact, there has never been another wide receiver in the NFL who compares to Johnson when it comes to overall size, strength, athletic ability, and of course, production.

But on Saturday, the NFL tweeted out a message which compares rookie wide receiver Chase Claypool of the Pittsburgh Steelers to the GOAT.

Check it out.

Following the tweet, fans immediately jumped all over the NFL. *To be fair, the NFL was only comparing their measurables but fans will be fans!
