It's been a rainy affair at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing this afternoon – both in terms of weather and the product on the field.

The Michigan State Spartans are well on their way to their fourth loss of the year, this time to the Penn State Nittany Lions. Once again, the Spartans offense has been nearly nonexistent, and the growing frustration among the fan base continues to grow. According to Spartan Nation writer Jeff Bullock, the Spartans third quarter touchdown was “Michigan State's first points in 130 minutes and 26 seconds of game time.” Oof.
Check out some of the reaction to today's game and the vitriol in particular pointed towards head coach Mark Dantonio, who has been the target of criticism for his refusal to make any meaningful changes to his offensive staff.
Mark Dantonio has lost every right to end his tenure in EL on his own terms. The product he’s putting out on the field is beyond unwatchable. No surprise to anyone who was outraged with him reshuffling the chairs on the Titanic (coaching staff) in the offseason.

Michigan State Head Football Coach Mark Dantonio should be DONE after this season.

I’ve been so busy bashing Jim Harbaugh and Michigan that I forgot just how bad Mark Dantonio and Michigan State are?
In case you’re wondering…
They’re bad!
Like, really, really bad.
Oh my.

Mark Dantonio looks like a mortician who coaches middle school football to get away from his family.

Is it still a “dumb ass question” to ask Mark Dantonio if he regrets not making significant changes to his offense prior to another embarrassing season 🤔 #pridecomesbeforethefall

I believe that the Mark Dantonio era at Michigan State is about to come to an end. Michigan State is absolutely atrocious.

Michigan State fans should empty it completely. There's no reason for them to sit through this offense in this weather. Doing so supports a coach whose solution to having one of the worst offenses in FBS last year was to keep everyone *and* have them all coach new position groups https://t.co/UxgKFzD8eu

Michigan State is getting absolutely run off its home field by Penn State. Mark Dantonio apparently doesn’t like tough questions, but he deserves them.

Since Michigan State got DESTROYED by Alabama in 2015 @CFBPlayoff Mark Dantonio's W/L records if they lose to Penn State today >
Overall: 24 – 23
Big Ten: 15 – 17
Dantonio has been floundering for Years and 2019 is his last year coaching the Spartans! https://t.co/FoQcqzXAAB

I’m sending Mark Dantonio a bill for all of my Saturday night bar tabs from October

@DantonioMark your a legend Mr. Dantonio, however you know a change needs to be made at offense. I know you love your buddies but please make that change if not, Michigan State's going to end up a bottom feeder in the big 10 and I don't want that to happen
