WR Golden Tate
Average Draft Position: 54.8 (35.8 in PPR)
Projected Round: 4-5
Lions wide out Golden Tate is another player whose fantasy value is elevated by PPR formats as he is being drafted almost 20 spots higher on average. After a ridiculous 2014 season with 99 catches and 1,331 yards, Tate took a step back last season with just 813 receiving yards. With future Hall of Famer Calvin Johnson gone, Tate is expected to lead the Detroit receivers in 2016.
Although with free agent signee Marvin Jones in the mix and the Lions emphasis on spreading the ball, it could be tough to predict week to week who gets the most targets. With that said I’m expecting Tate to get back to 2014 form and catch close to 100 balls in Detroit’s pass happy offense.
