FIGHT NIGHT! Red Wings’ Luke Witkowski returns from 10-game suspension, immediately drops gloves!

On Monday night, the Detroit Red Wings welcomed Luke Witkowski back to the ice following his 10-game suspension for an incident which took place on Nov. 15 against the Calgary Flames.

Well, it did not take too long for the Red Wings winger to get back to doing what he seems to enjoy, dropping the gloves.

Watch as Witkowski squares off against Micheal Haley of the Florida Panthers during the first period.

Later on, in the second period, the two went at it again.

Witkowski had previously been serving a 10-game suspension for going back out onto the ice after being ejected against the Flames.

From Detroit Free Press:

The suspension was expected, as Witkowski clearly violated NHL rules Wednesday. Officials ejected Witkowski from the game after a brawl late in the third period, but as he walked toward the Wings tunnel, Calgary forward Matthew Tkahcuk speared Witkowski in the back of his legs, and Witkowski responded by turning around and going back onto the ice.

From NHL Rule 70.6:

“Any player or goalkeeper who has been ordered to the dressing room by the officials and returns to his bench or to the ice surface for any reason before the appropriate time shall be assessed a game misconduct and shall be suspended automatically without pay for the next ten (10) regular League and/or Play-off games.”

Dylan Larkin “D-Boss” Bobblehead Giveaway + Top 5 Bobbleheads of All-Time

Alright, if you’re like me, the first question that comes to mind is “Who is the other guy?” Well, his name is Evan Gizinski and he currently plays for the Shelby Surge in the National Roller Hockey League, while attending Oakland University. He grew up playing with Dylan Larkin, and while he obviously didn’t have the NHL destiny that Larkin had, he still made an appearance as E.G. $layer and received some recognition for his sniping abilities in this viral video.
