It won’t be long before the 95th season of Detroit Red Wings hockey kicks off, albeit without fans in attendance thanks to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
And as the team has gathered at Little Caesars Arena for training camp, the work has began on assembling the outlook of the 2020-21 edition of the roster.
Plenty of new faces have arrived, and the coaching staff already has a good idea of what potential line combinations could look like come January 14, the date of their first game of the season against the Carolina Hurricanes.
The line combinations they skated with on the first day of camp are as follows:
Forwards:
Tyler Bertuzzi-Dylan Larkin-Anthony Mantha
Filip Zadina-Robby Fabbri-Bobby Ryan
Vladislav Namestnikov-Valtteri Filppula-Sam Gagner
Darren Helm-Luke Glendening-Adam Erne
Defensemen:
Danny DeKeyser-Filip Hronek
Marc Staal-Patrik Nemeth
Jon Merrill-Troy Stecher
