Eric Bledsoe
Detroit would get: PG Eric Bledsoe, SF T.J. Warren
Phoenix would get: PG Reggie Jackson, 2017 First Round Pick
KCP is saved this time around based on the fact that Reggie Jackson would most definitely have to be packaged in return for Bledsoe (who happens to be averaging 21.6 ppg, 6.3 apg, 5.0 rpg on 49% shooting from the field and 85% from the free throw line). If the Pistons can dangle future draft stock in the Suns’ front mirror then being able to add a scorer like forward T.J. Warren is also viable. Bledsoe’s value is as high as ever and while in his prime it would make sense from the Suns and Bledsoe to move on for the better.
Ricky Rubio
Detroit would get: PG Ricky Rubio, SG Brandon Rush
Minnesota would get: PG Reggie Jackson
I’m not the biggest fan of this move but there seems to be a cult of Pistons fans that believe Rubio’s pick-and-roll management will push Andre Drummond into domination mode. Wouldn’t be too bad but if it didn’t work out, it could stain SVG’s Detroit legacy and stall Drummond’s developmental performance even more.
Draft picks and cap space
Leave the 16-17′ NBA season for dead and collect assets for the future (tank)
Because tanking is always an option. Trade everything and move downtown with a fresh slate. Not very likely.
