If you were able to watch the Michigan vs. Ohio State game, you most likely came away with the following thought: The Wolverines were outclassed by the Buckeyes. Period. End of story.

But why were the Wolverines beaten so badly on their home field?

Was it because Urban Meyer is a better head coach than Jim Harbaugh? Absolutely not. In fact, one could easily argue that Harbaugh had the better season if you look only at coaching. When it comes to athletics, coaching is definitely a key factor, especially at the college level, but when it comes down to it, it’s the players that make the plays.

That being said, Harbaugh did an amazing job this season with the talent he inherited, but that talent was not enough to reach the ultimate goal of winning a Big Ten Championship. In order for the Wolverines to take things to the next level, Harbaugh needs to get the players that he hand picks to commit to Michigan.

As things stand today, the Wolverines have the #6 ranked recruiting class in the nation according to 247 Sports. But guess what folks, they are not finished yet.

Here is a list of five top recruits from the class of 2016 that Michigan is favored to land.
