The Detroit Red Wings and Vancouver Canucks aren’t exactly rivals, but a pre-game scuffle between the two sides at Vancouver’s GM Place in February of 2008 sure painted that kind of picture!
Vancouver Canucks pest Alex Burrows had some words to say to Red Wings tough guy Aaron Downey, which caused the pre-game scrum.
“He wanted to get his team going and he said he was going to take care of me,” recalled Burrows. “I was ready for him. I asked him how his potato farm was doing. He probably likes the french fries the most because he’s a little chubby.”
