For Detroit Tigers fans hoping to once again see Nicholas Castellanos in the Old English D, you may have to put those dreams on hold.
According to MLB.com’s Joe Frisaro, the Miami Marlins are “believed” to have interest in the former Tigers right-fielder.

Castellanos donning a Marlins uniform would make sense. He’s a Miami native and attended high school less than 30 miles from Marlins Park. However, he wasn’t shy about saying he appreciated playing meaningful games in September. He was traded from the Tigers to the Chicago Cubs at this year’s trade deadline.
The Marlins lost 105 games in 2019, and don’t appear to be anywhere near contending for a pennant, let alone a playoff spot.
