Let’s be honest, the days of having stadiums named after people are likely long gone thanks to corporate sponsorships. As they say, money talks!
However, one writer is making the argument that there needs to be some name changes of professional sports venues due to some less than flattering allegations against the companies that sponsor the names.
Radio.com’s Dan Mennella has included Detroit’s Ford Field on his list of worst stadium names for, as he put it, the company’s antisemitic past.
“On the topic of reexamining controversial historical figures, it may be time to move on from the antisemitic auto titan.”
Do you agree with his reasoning?
