2 USFL teams will host games at Ford Field
According to reports, two USFL teams will host games at Ford Field during their 2023 season. Those teams are as follows.
- Michigan Panthers
- Philadelphia Stars
- The first game at Ford Field will take place on April 30
What they are saying
“When the momentum started building behind Detroit, that was something that became very, very intriguing for us,” Daryl Johnston, executive vice president for the USFL, told The News in an interview earlier this week. “Especially with the Michigan Panthers, and what that represents. We have the ability to kind of go back into the original USFL launch back in the 1980s and kind of tie in a lot of the historical elements now. We felt that was good with Michigan, plus the opportunity to be at Ford Field.
“We felt like this was too good an opportunity to pass up.”
