Ah, we all knew this was coming.
After Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh accused Ohio State head coach Ryan Day of breaking the rules during a Big Ten coaches conference call, which resulted in Day telling his team that the Wolverines had better hope there is a mercy rule because the Buckeyes are “going to hang 100 on them,” former OSU RB Ezekiel Elliott had tweeted out a 3-word message for Harbaugh.
“Snitches get stitches,” Elliott tweeted.
Elliott has made it very clear over the years about how he feels about Jim Harbaugh so it really is no surprise at all that he took to Twitter to make this comment.
“I am tired of hearing about coach Harbaugh,” Elliott said in 2016 on The Paul Finebaum Show “He needs to check with reality because at the end of the day you can’t talk smack about a rivalry when you haven’t won a rivalry game. You’ve got to win ballgames to talk behind it.”
Considering Harbaugh called out Day during a conference call that Day was present for, is that really being a snitch? By definition, I guess that is the case.
OSU’s Ryan Day says the Big Ten better implement a mercy rule for Jim Harbaugh and Michigan
According to a report from Dave Biddle of 247Sports/CBS Sports, things got a bit heated between Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh and Ohio State head coach Ryan Day during a recent Big Ten (private) teleconference.
Biddle is reporting that Harbaugh interrupted Day at one point during the teleconference, calling out the Buckeyes for breaking the rules and Day responded by telling Harbaugh to worry about his own team.
Following the teleconference, Day met with his team and told them the Big Ten better gave a mercy rule because they were going to “hang 100 points” on the Wolverines.
