Since being selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft, Marquis Flowers has been searching for a place he can call home.
After spending two seasons with the Bengals, Flowers was traded to the New England Patriots for a seventh round pick. During the 2017 season, he played in all 16 games (2 starts) and recorded 30 tackles and 3.5 sacks. Following that season, Flowers signed a 1-year deal to stay in New England but was then released before the start of the 2018 season.

Apparently, Flowers showed enough to then Patriots’ defensive coordinator Matt Patricia for Patricia to vouch for the Detroit Lions giving him a shot this past season.
Unfortunately, Flowers only played in five games for the Lions before he was released on October 10th.
On Saturday, Flowers was answering some questions on Twitter and on of those questions was whether or not he would come back to Detroit.
“I owe Detroit an apology and they shouldn’t want me back! I wasn’t myself but I’ll play for Matt P (Matt Patricia) given the opportunity.”

Flowers also said Patricia is his favorite coach he has ever played for.
Marvin Lewis is a great Coach! But Matt Patricia is my favorite coach I played for 🤷🏾♂️ https://t.co/lyHbFenlqq

Flowers, who is still just 27 years old, currently plays for the Washington Redskins, where he is in the final year of his contract.
Nation, can you see Flowers returning to the Lions in 2020?
