On Thursday night, you will have an opportunity to see a live interview with former Detroit Lions‘ head coach Jim Caldwell that you probably never believed would happen considering how he would rather avoid the spotlight.
The interview with Caldwell will take place on YouTube at 9 p.m. ET on Thursday and former Lions safety Glover Quin will do the honors of asking the questions via his YouTube Channel, “The DB Room.”
Quin has recently conducted interviews with Calvin Johnson, Ndamukong Suh, and Tracy Walker, Golden Tate, and Darius Slay.
As you probably remember, Caldwell spent four seasons as head coach of the Lions, posting an impressive 36-28 record over that time. Unfortunately, he was never able to get the team over the hump (who has been able to do that?) and he was eventually fired following the 2017 season after leading the Lions to a 9-7 record.
Since leaving the Lions, Caldwell did some consulting for the XFL and spent time with the Miami Dolphins as an assistant head coach/quarterbacks coach before being let go following the 2019 season.
