According to reports, former Detroit Lions offensive lineman Hessley Hempstead has died at the age of 49.
Hempstead, who once blocked for the great Barry Sanders, reportedly passed away on June 11 after suffering a heart attack.
Hempstead played in 31 games for the Lions from 1995-1997.
