Former Detroit Piston earns degree…23 years later

There are few things as important as a good education, even if said education comes later than expected.

For former Detroit Piston Darvin Ham, that is exactly what happened.

In the photo below, you can see Ham as he walks across the stage and accepts his degree from Texas Tech, twenty-three years after leaving the Red Raiders for the NBA.

Ham, who is now 46, played his final two NBA seasons with the Pistons. In his final season (2004-2005), he averaged just one point per game.
