Unfortunately for Detroit Tigers fans, their team is not participating in the 2017 World Series after finishing dead last in all of Major League Baseball.

That being said, many Tigers fans are excited to tune in to the World Series because it involves a couple of their all-time favorites, Justin Verlander (Houston Astros) and Curtis Granderson (Los Angeles Dodgers).

Well, at least they thought the World Series was going to include both of those players.

On Tuesday, the Dodgers announced that Granderson will not be part of their World Series roster.

The former Tiger has not exactly earned a spot on the World Series roster as he has only one hit in 15 postseason at-bats.

The World Series begins tonight when the Dodgers host the Astros in Game 1.

If you are wanting to see Justin Verlander pitch, you will have to wait until Game 2, as he is penciled in to start on Wednesday night.
