According to reports, former Detroit Tigers and current Houston Astros pitcher Justin Verlander has won his second American League Cy Young award.

Verlander edged out his teammate Gerrit Cole for the award.
On the season, Verlander went 21-6 with a 2.58 ERA in a league-best 34 starts. He also struck out a career-high 300 batters while walking just 42.
It is safe to say starting pitchers have done pretty well since leaving the Tigers as Verlander, Max Scherzer, David Price, and Rick Porcello have combined to win a whopping seven Cy Young awards.
