Based on Wikipedia research, the last Lions head coach to be a head coach of another NFL team after their time in Detroit was Buddy Parker who coached the Lions from 1951-56, and then coached the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1957-64.
Schwartz has been the Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator since 2016. Since 2016 the Eagles rankings in total defense:
2016 (13th)
2017 (4th)
2018 (23rd)
2019 (10th)
Schwartz coached the Lions for five years from 2009-13 and compiled just a 29-52 record in the motor city with one playoff appearance.
