Former Lions WR Golden Tate discusses his initial feeling about Kenny Golladay

In case you have been in a cave, Kenny Golladay has emerged as a legit No. 1 receiver for Matthew Stafford and the Detroit Lions offense.

Golladay proved himself again on Sunday during a 31-26 win over the New York Giants.

In the game, the Lions youngster caught six passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns.

Following the game, Giants WR Golden Tate spoke about how he did not always think Golladay would pan out.

From Detroit Free Press:

“When he first got there, I was like, ‘This dude is not very good,’ ” Tate said Sunday after Golladay had two touchdown catches and 123 yards receiving in the Lions’ 31-26 win over Tate’s New York Giants.

But Golladay changed Tate’s mind long before Sunday’s game.

“He quickly, quickly changed that,” Tate said. “His work ethic — he showed up wanting to be good. In his first year, he showed us some glimpses of wanting to be amazing. The second year he did amazing. … His third year, he’s just thriving.  He’s thriving.

“It’s been fun to watch him grow. To be drafted in the third round and doing the job that he’s doing. They’re dangerous over there between him, Marvin (Jones) and Danny (Amendola) and T.J. (Hockenson).”

We are glad to hear that Tate is coming around in Golladay!
