Former Lions’ WR Golden Tate responds to NFL upholding his 4-game suspension

On Tuesday, news broke the NFL was upholding their initial ruling and New York Giants wide receiver Golden Tate will have to sit out the first four games of the 2019 regular season for violating the NFL Policy on Performance-Enhancing Substances.

Following the ruling, Tate responded via Twitter, saying he was really hoping his case would be an exception and that nobody is more upset with the NFL’s decision.

When Tate was originally suspended, he released a statement explaining that the drug he took was prescribed to him by a fertility specialist and when he found out it was on the NFL’s banned substance list, he immediately discontinued use and reported it to the league.

The NFL is a joke.
