On December 17, news broke that Aubrey Solomon was planning to transfer from the University of Michigan.

Today, the former 5-star defensive tackle hopped on Twitter to reveal that he will be transferring to the University of Tennessee.

Solomon explained to 247 Sports why he made the decision to transfer to Tennessee.
“It was really just, I’d say, the people, the people they brought in there,” said Solomon, who was ranked the No. 23 overall prospect and No. 2 defensive tackle in the 2017 class, according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.
“I know they were 5-7 this year, but I know the program’s on the rise. They’ve got Coach Pruitt, Coach Rock, (outside linebackers) coach (Chris) Rumph, (defensive coordinator Kevin) Sherrer — a whole band of coaches who recruited me — and I know what they’re capable of doing because their pedigree speaks for itself, really.
“So at the end of the day, I was like, ‘You know what? I want to be a part of something that’s going to come up.’ They’re great mentors, great father figures. And I was like, at the end of the day, they can help me become the man I want to be.”
While he might be required to sit out the 2019 season, he said he’s “definitely appealing” in hopes of being eligible to play at Tennessee immediately.
“However that goes, I don’t know,” Solomon said. “Hopefully I don’t have to sit out a year, but if I do, I’ll just take this year to learn, get stronger, get faster, hit the books. But we’re definitely going to be trying to appeal.”

Michigan Wolverines’ National Signing Day recap
Jim Harbaugh and the University of Michigan football coaching staff had a very productive national signing day run. On the first day of the early signing period, the Wolverines were able to fill up almost their entire 2019 Freshman class inking commitments with 25 recruits.
The day was marked by the biggest surprise, maybe in the country, when Daxton Hill decided to send his letter of intent to Michigan. Only 11 days ago, Daxton flipped his commitment to Michigan to Alabama, but today that all changed. Hill is a five-star safety from Oklahoma with a great pedigree. He is the younger brother of Justice Hill, the Oklahoma State running back that just declared for the NFL draft.
Other notable commitments include Zach Charbonnet (RB) and Chris Hinton (DL). Both are in the top 100 nationally and are part of a trio that should be the backbone of this 2019 class. The other major commit was Cornelius Johnson, a top 250 player that, as a wide receiver, is viewed to be the missing piece at a position that Michigan has struggled to fill in its run-heavy offense.
As it stands now, Michigan has the top-ranked recruiting class in the B1G according to multiple sources and are ranked 7th nationally according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
