Former Michigan running back Mike Hart has been busy with football since departing Ann Arbor. After a brief stint in the NFL, Hart quickly joined the sidelines to be a running backs coach.

Come next fall, he will be back in the Big Ten holding that same position at Indiana.

Hart had spent last season holding the same title for Syracuse, the same city where he was born. Prior to that, he was at Eastern Michigan for two seasons (2011-13, the latter two years as the RB coach) and then went across the state to coach at Western Michigan (2014-15).

As a player at Michigan, Hart ran for over 5,000 yards and 40 TD in his four seasons, earning First-team All-Big Ten honors three times and was the Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2004. A 6th-round pick (No. 202 overall) in 2008, Hart spent three seasons with the Colts from 2008-10, playing in just 21 games and logging 264 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
