‘Princess Lacey' honored by Michigan State students one year later
One year ago today the world lost an amazing young lady when Lacey Holsworth passed away after a two-year battle with cancer. On Tuesday night, Michigan State University students did their best to make sure Princess Lacey's memory will continue to live on as they painted The Rock.
Lacey, who was only 8-years old, made a lasting impact not only at Michigan State University but throughout the college basketball community and further.
Lacey's story really gained attention as she became close with former Spartan basketball player Adreian Payne and the rest of the MSU basketball team. She was often shown and mentioned throughout Michigan State's 2014 March Madness run and became loved throughout the nation.
