The news came earlier tonight that Detroit Red Wings goaltender Jimmy Howard intends to call it a career.
He played 10 full seasons in the Motor City and is third overall in career victories in team history.
Among his better moments as starter was a pair of saves he made against the Vancouver Canucks, and one each against superstar twins Daniel and Henrik Sedin.
