Former University of Michigan standout and three-time Pro Bowl left tackle Taylor Lewan said that he has been suspended by the NFL for the first four games of this season for alleged PED use.
Lewan, currently playing for the Tennessee Titans, said that he’s going to appeal the decision. He’ll do it “became I’m innocent,” Lewan said, via Jim Wyatt of the team’s official website.

“I’ve never taken anything that would cheat the game. I’m so sorry to the Tennessee Titans,” Lewan said. “I’m sorry to the Titans, to the fans, that I won’t be there for four games. I’ve never cheated myself, and I never want you guys to feel cheated. And I’m sorry. But I’m going to be better for this. I’m going to come back.”

“I told the team today that I wanted to tell them before [posting a video on social media],” Lewan continued. “It’s unfortunate because a lot of media people started to sniff around, started to get ahold of it, and I just wanted to make sure that I was the one to break the news.”
Lean said he took a polygraph and also said his supplements tested by a third party but knows he’s responsible for what goes in his body.
Lewan was drafted by the Titans with the 11th overall draft pick in the 2014 NFL Draft after playing for the Wolverines from 2009-13. He was two-time All-American and two-time Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year.
