If you happen to be watching the Detroit Lions game today, you may have caught an Ernie Harwell-ism just before halftime.
The Harwell-ism came when Minnesota Vikings‘ WR Chad Beebe caught a pass and then made the Lions defense look silly before scoring the go-ahead touchdown.
While looking at the replay, Joe Davis, who is a Michigan native and the Los Angeles Dodgers play-by-play man, noted that Lions’ S Duron Harmon “stood there like a house by the side of the road, watching him run by.”
Love it!
Michigan native and Dodgers play-by-play voice @Joe_Davis on the Lions game for Fox today, gives a nod to Ernie Harwell on that last TD, noting Duron Harmon “stood there like a house by the side of the road, watching him run by.” https://t.co/sAfjdNiIR7
