Our Game of the Day series continues by taking a look back at the 2012 Detroit Tigers season that saw them advance to the World Series!
Of course, they had to get past the New York Yankees in order to do so. Game 3 of the ALCS took place at a rocking Comerica Park. Pitcher Justin Verlander took a shutout into the 9th inning, while Delmon Young hit a 4th inning home run off Phil Hughes. Quintin Berry would then score off a Miguel Cabrera double, while Phil Coke closed things out.
