According to a report from Ian Rapoport, the Detroit Lions have completed a pair of interviews for their general manager opening. Interviews were conducted on Wednesday with Rams director of college scouting Brad Holmes and Vikings assistant GM, George Paton.
Rapoport added that Paton’s interview was in person, which makes him the first in-person interview the Lions have conducted with a candidate not already part of the franchise.

As noted by Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, with Paton’s interview being in-person, the Lions could hire him any time as Rod Wood has said they wanted to meet with the hire first.
