Detroit sports radio personality and former Detroit Pistons writer Terry Foster is currently recovering after suffering a minor stroke, and is expected to be off the air until early October.
The good news is that he’s expected to make a full recovery. He released an update on his condition in a blog on CBS Detroit’s website:
“Let me be blunt one more time. I suffered a minor stroke but I am going to fully recover. I can already feel a difference in how I speak and how I type. My fine motor skills are a little messed up in my right hand and I am not ready to throw a pitch from the pitcher’s mound.
But I feel a little better every day.
I am lucky. I am fortunate. This is a wake up call.”
Foster is currently one half of the popular “Valenti and Foster” show on 97.1 WXYT FM weekdays from 2-6 p.m. Before that, he covered the Pistons for the Detroit News from 1988-1994.
We at Detroit Sports Nation wish Terry a full and speedy recovery and look forward to hearing him back on the airwaves soon!
