Johnson would not be eligible to actually play in a game until Week 16 (at Denver), but the move to bring him back at all this season is a bit surprising considering the Lions have already been eliminated from the playoffs.
Following the announcement, former Lions S Glover Quin, who already spoke out on Wednesday about how he is not sure if players will fight for Patricia, questioned why the team is bringing Johnson back to practice.
