Leading up to Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions wide receiver Golden Tate made it a point to salute the United States Armed Forces in honor of Veterans Day.

First, on Friday, Tate was at the Detroit Pistons game and he had a special surprise for a member of the military.

He also took to Twitter and tweeted out a couple of photos in honor of our past and current troops.

But it was Sunday, when Tate scored his only touchdown of the game, that he showed exactly what is really important to him. Instead of getting creative and trying to one-up the league with the next best touchdown celebration, Tate used his time on camera to salute the military.

Now, that's what it's all about!

Following the game, Tate emphasized exactly how important it was for him to score today so he could honor the military.

“Was really hoping to get into the endzone for many obvious reasons, but this made it even more special!

AP POLL: Michigan State plummets, Michigan rises in latest Top 25

After plenty of drama and upsets on Saturday, there figured to be quite a shakeup in the latest AP Top 25 Polls. Both Michigan and Michigan State were at the heart of it all — particularly the latter when they were demolished by Ohio State, 48-3 — and both saw their positions in the latest poll change because of it.

Michigan (8-2, 5-2 Big Ten) turned in their third consecutive victory of at least 21 points with a 35-10 win over Maryland in College Park on Saturday. Despite their three wins coming against rather pedestrian conference opponents, it’s very encouraging to see this level of comfort if you’re a Wolverines fans.

In theory, it should provide the team with some confidence and momentum as they head into a very important road game at Wisconsin (10-0, 7-0 Big Ten) next Saturday.
