When the 2021 season kicks off, it is very likely that the Detroit Lions will have a quarterback other than Matthew Stafford under center.
On Saturday night, news broke that Stafford has asked the Lions to trade him and the Lions will do just that as long as they get fair market value in return.
Following the news, former Lions’ receiver Golden Tate took to Twitter to give his initial reaction to the news.
“Staff and his family have given the city of Detroit their ALL from day one and I know the city appreciates it. He deserves to have a chance to win a ring somewhere. @Lions and the Ford family are class acts.”
