OL Joe Dahl (Round 5, No. 151)
Quinn stood true to his word on building from the trenches out and added another player that would make the season roster. Joe Dahl played a reserve/development role for the Lions in Year 1 but coaches speak highly of his potential. If Riley Reiff walks in free agency, Dahl could be a dark horse contender to start at right tackle for Detroit.
Pick Grade: B
LB Antwione Williams (Round 5, No. 169)
After a productive collegiate career at Georgia Southern, linebacker Antwione Williams was drafted by Quinn and the Lions with the latter of their two 5th-round selections. The Lions’ linebacking corps was decimated by injuries early on and we got to see a bit of Williams. He’s played solid for the situation he was thrust in as a rookie and I wouldn’t be surprised to see his name higher on the depth chart next season. Again, another draft pick that contributed in Year 1 for Quinn & Co.
