QB Jake Rudock (Round 6, No. 191)
The second of two Michigan football players to be drafted by the Lions in 2016, Rudock drove veteran Dan Orlovsky for his backup QB job in the preseason but the coaches ultimately chose to stay safe with Danny O. That might not be the case next season as Rudock continues to develop admirably.
Pick Grade: B+
DL Anthony Zettel (Round 6, No. 202)
All the rookie talent that burst through the Lions roster in 2016 can probably be contributed to the lack of talent left behind by Martin Mayhew but that’s not taking away from the wonderful job Quinn did of finding gems in the rough. Penn State’s Anthony Zettel found his way into the defensive line rotation early on and had his ups and downs as a young player. However, he did make several plays and will continue to provide depth for the Lions moving forward.
